VA Loans in Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania offers a full real estate tax exemption for wartime veterans with the most serious service-connected disabilities who show financial need. The federal VA loan benefit is the same in every state: eligible buyers can buy with no down payment and competitive rates.
Pennsylvania benefits for veterans
Property tax relief for veterans
Honorably discharged veterans who served during a period of war and are rated by the VA as permanently and totally disabled, individually unemployable, or blind, paraplegic or missing two or more limbs from service may qualify for an exemption from real estate taxes on their principal dwelling.
The program considers financial need, and surviving spouses of qualifying veterans can apply too. Veterans' benefits are no longer counted as income for the need assessment.
How to apply: Apply through the director of veterans affairs in your county.
